Minecraft Beta 1.5.1

Hello everyone. I am posting this message before the huge flood, because I have already had enough of this crap. I have been on the minecraft forums for a while now, and I have already had enough of people trolling about the minecraft 1.5 update.

If you wish to continue using your mods, but still want to play one minecraft beta 1.5, here is something that I cannot stress to you enough.
BACKUP YOUR MINECRAFT.JAR!!!!!

Go into search, type in %appdata%. Go into .minecraft. Go into bin. Right click on minecraft.jar. Click Copy. Paste it into a folder on your desktop. Then, Run minecraft and update. Roll back to minecraft beta 1.4 whenever you want to use your mods, use 1.5 when you want to test out the new features. IT'S THAT SIMPLE.

What? You downloaded the new minecraft but didn't backup, and you now want to roll back the version? Too bad. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT ask for a beta 1.4.1 minecraft.jar, or any other minecraft.jar. Do you know why? We cannot give you one. That would be illegal. And don't come crying here when you can't roll back.

You know what? When minecraft beta 1.4 came out, I updated without thinking. And you know what? All of the bukkit servers were down. if I'd had any mods, I wouldn't have been able to use them. Did I Bitch and Whine? No. Absolutely not. I can be mature about these things, let's hope that you can too. If you want the latest minecraft stuff, you come here. I will always post warnings about this type of thing, it is your choice to come here for help or not.


And that's the end of my little rant. In a couple of minutes I will be posting in my blog with some pictures of the new stuff in minecraft beta 1.5, you can choose whether or not you wish to update.

Minecraft Beta 1.5.1 is now out. I would suggest simply updating, since almost no mods are compatible with 1.5 yet, there is really no need to backup. Minecraft 1.5.1 simply fixes some bugs that occurred when notch updated minecraft to 1.5. Notch may release his updates with bugs, but he is always quick to fix them.

Yeah. I've just had enough of the whining and crying about 1.5. Notch works his a*s*s off to get these updates out, and people complained because he was tweeting that he was getting portal 2, the second it came out. Actually, someone posted a comment in a thread where someone was whining about how 1.5 was stupid, etc. Here is the quote:

It hardly fell flat on it's face--only boosters seem disparaging, and that is only because you still have to WORK for their benefits.

Nobody thought this was a big update by comparison to anything.
Get over it.

EDIT: OH MY GOD HOW COULD NOTCH NOT ABANDON HIS ENTIRE SOCIAL LIFE TO GIVE US NEW CONTENT IN A GAME. SWEET GOD I'M SO ANGRY.

By the way, they were being sarcastic at the end, in case it wasn't obvious.
