Welcome to the official Dead Axe thread. This thread will contain pretty much everything there is to know about dead axe, and also have some nice pictures and videos for you to see. This thread is not yet completed, more will be added until it is finished, but it will still be maintained afterwards.

1.0 History


1.1 The founders
Dead Axe was originally founded by two of the server gods. These server gods are called Jacob123223 and DragonZero. These two gods both thought that it would be amazing if they could create a self sufficient underground city, so they decided to team up.

The construction of Dead Axe started on Friday, February 18th, 2011 at around 10:00pm and was finished around Saturday, February 19th, 2011 at around 9:00am. Please note that this does not include any additions after the initial city was created. The initial city consisted of only the residential and business districts, and the main entrance.

Dead Axe was originally named Bad Axe, but was renamed so it sounded better.


1.2 Dead Axe’s server records

Before you begin reading, please note that these records are only on the Elysiarium server, they are not global records, just Elysiarium records.

Dead Axe had the very first (Moving) portcullis on the server. It was created by DragonZero, and re-wired by Jacob123223. This portcullis is still there, and is still functional. This portcullis is powered by redstone. This portcullis is situated in the basement of a big building made out of iron blocks. This building was originally 7 stories high, and was going to be used by DragonZero for a fully automated bank. However, construction on this bank was never completed, so it was re-purposed for the entrance to Dead Axe.

Dead Axe had the very first wheat farm. It was created by DragonZero, and was going to be opened when iConomy was integrated, but was given up on, because workers would have to be hired, and then those workers would have to continuously re-till then re-plant the wheat after every harvest. So, the solution was that the wheat would be free to anyone who wanted some.

The very first mushroom farm on the server was created by Jacob123223. It is lit with redstone torches connected to a lever, so that the mushrooms were not killed by the light.

The very first Cactus farm on the server was created by Jacob123223. It was originally automated, because of the dropchests plugin, which would suck up all of the cactus which was broken.



2.0 Districts




2.1 Business
The business district was created when DragonZero started building his sugarcane and wheat farm. It was then upgraded when Jacob123223 linked his Cactus and Mushroom farms, and then upgraded again when Jacob123223 Created and linked his underground tree farm. It is on the level above the residential district, and it is adjacent to DragonZero’s district.


2.2 Industrial
The industrial district was created by Jacob123223 when he created his coal mine. He later added a coal refinery, which is adjacent to the coal mine. The coal refinery does not actually “work”, but it is done very well, and is very realistic considering the limits of minecraft.


2.3 Residential
The residential district was created by Jacob123223. When it was first created, it only had 2 houses. This was upgraded to 5, and then 10. These houses had between 1-5 rooms, but were NOT expandable. This housing district is more for show than for anything else, considering how many houses there are available compared to how many members the server will have. The residential district will continue to be upgraded, but it will probably stop being upgraded between 30-50 houses.


2.4 DragonZero’s district
DragonZero’s district was created by DragonZero. It currently only contains DragonZero’s famous inverted sandstone skyscraper. No, the skyscraper is not upside down, but it is fully underground. Also, on one of the upper floors is a entrance to the surface, but the highest floor is an entrance to Dead Axe. DragonZero has big plans for this district, but he hasn’t released any information about these plans yet.



3.0 Important areas


3.1 The original portcullis

The original portcullis is probably the most important part of Dead Axe, because it was the very reason that Dead Axe was founded. Jacob123223 installed a portcullis plugin. DragonZero really wanted to test it, so he created a test portcullis in the basement of his bank. He then decided to turn his bank into the entrance to an underground city. After asking Jacob123223 for permission, he found out that Jacob also wanted to build an underground city. They teamed up to build the city of Dead Axe, and the portcullis served as the entrance.


3.2 The inverted Skyscraper
The inverted skyscraper is an important part of dead axe because it is one of the new entrances to dead axe, and is also the second most used entrance. It was originally created by DragonZero. The sandstone skyscraper is totally underground, and is made out of just sandstone and stone slabs. It is wired with redstone circuits on every floor that are connected to pumpkins, that serve as the lights in the skyscraper. The pumpkins are able to be controlled by redstone because of the Craftbook plugin.


3.3 The farms

The farms are an important part of dead axe because they will be the biggest exports of Dead Axe when iConomy is integrated into the server. They will employ around 20 people total. These farms will produce sugarcane, wheat, mushrooms and cactus. They were created by Jacob123223 and DragonZero. Some of them were rigged with Dropchests, which would suck up all of the crops that crew then broke. These chests would also prevent people from stealing the crops, because they would suck up the crops before people could pick them up after they broke them.


3.4 The town council chamber
The town council chamber is an important part of Dead Axe because this is where to town council of Dead Axe meets to discuss future updates and additions to the city. This is also where thieves and griefers in the city of Dead Axe are currently sentenced. It is not known whether or not there will ever be a jail in the city, but there is not one yet. The council can meet in secret because the portcullis is only able to open from the inside of the chamber, therefore nobody can listen in on the secret conversations.

This is great; Zero. Very informative and very interesting. All the info is correct. And yes we will be expanding...Greatly.
